Description
New Zealand consumes some 180,000 tonnes of LPG a year, and this number is increasing. LPG's characteristics make it suitable for a wide range of uses but they also introduce health and safety hazards. For this reason LPG is regulated by a number of different statutes and there are important safety protocols to be followed when installing, storing or using LPG.
When you have completed this course you will have an understanding of:
- LPG properties including how LPG differs from natural gas and the safety implications of LPG's characteristics
- The variety of legislation and regulations which impact on LPG and where to get more information on the regulation of LPG
- Location Test Certificates including when they are required, who must get them etc
- Cylinder installations including isolation distances
