Kelvin Irvine has been in the Plumbing Industry for over 35 years, serving his apprenticeship with Fletchers in the early 70's and was involved in several major commercial/industrial projects within the Otago Region and the South and North Island.
He has had a varied work history, was self employed for approximately 10 years, and has a Business Management Certificate from Otago University. He has been a Project Manager of major South Island construction projects and was also a Consultant Engineer/Building Services Designer covering the South Island for over 10 years.
Kelvin has been involved in the design of industrial and commercial services and controls with local bodies, architects and major end users. He has also invented and developed several products from conception to usage in the market.
At present Kelvin is the Contracts Supervisor at the University of Otago - Property Services Division, with over 80 mixed trade staff. He is also a part time tutor at the Otago Polytechnic teaching quantity surveying, project management and architectual and design.
Kelvin is a member of the NZ Institute of Hazardous Substances Managment, Building Officials Institute of NZ and also Junior Vice President of the Otago Master Plumbers Association.
